You will soon discover that taking part in the local fiestas, is an ideal way to become part of the community. The Malaga fair is an exciting event that takes place every august and attracts people from all over Spain.
Alongside the fiestas, there are a huge number of different attractions throughout the city that are fantastic. Regardless of whether you enjoy sport, history, culture, or art, there is somewhere for you to visit. With so many places it can be difficult to list them all, however, the Cathedral, Port and Plaza de la Merced, are all must see places.
Learning the Language and Get Involved
You may find that you are attracted to the English speakers at first; however, you will find it easier to settle in, if you can speak the language. Joining a language course is ideal, and can help you to meet other people in the same situation as you. You need to understand that you will not fit in immediately; however, if you allow time, you will become a part of the community very quickly.
